First Date test: pass or Fail?

“Is he creative enough for our party girl?” Chloe teased as I looked around my walk in closet. “He better or else I would be so disappointed.” I say knowingly. One thing you should know about me- I HATE UNCREATIVE DATES. Want to know why? Simple. It’s boring! I love anything fun but I would not appreciate a guy taking me to a movie, or a concert, or fancy restaurant on our first date. Huge turn off!  Derik on the other hand seemed so interesting and unique. He would fit right in at BSAA (Bedfordspecial arts academy) it’s the all boys private school next to BSTA and run by the same person too. “He’s gonna be here any minute. Can’t chat anymore. Toodles!” I wave at the mac screen. “K. have fun! Tell us the deets!” the HAEDs all wave back.

As I finish up with the last touches, I receive a text from…

Derik: look down!

I look out the open window of my room.

Ding Ding!

A bicycle bell chimes from outside.

I laugh as I see Derik wearing a vest and top hat, straddling old fashioned bike and holding up a limo sign saying Ms. Hyland.

This will be interesting. I rush down and get on the backseat of his bike. He tips his hat and off we go! “are you scared of heights?” he asks me. “I’m no scared of anything.” I flirt. “good” he speeds up, making me clutch his waist tightly. We finally arrive at an empty carnival. This intrigues me even more. He blindfolds me and leads me for about another 5 minutes. “Aaaaand here we are!” he whisks the blindfold of and I am face to face with a…

Huge Ferris wheel?

Looking at my puzzled expression, Derik laughs and opens the door of one of the huge carts. “Oh My Goodness!” I gasp. “Dinner is served!” Derik says as I walk in and sit down. HE ARRANGED A ROMANTIC CADLELIGHT DINNER ON THE FERRIS WHEEL! I squeal in delight as a group of waiters jump out of the carts around us and turn on the Ferris wheel. I look out at the beautiful city when we reach the top. The song “Flightless Bird” by American mouth blasts through the huge stereo. “I love this song!” I look at him adoringly. “well, you’ll love this even more.” He sticks his hand out the window and snaps. Right away, fireworks go off all around us. We had a mini makeout session aferwords. 😉 teehee.

On our slow bike ride home, he told me a little secret. His real name is actually Marlin but he finds it a bit geeky. I find it quite charming and unique. Let’s prove him wrong!

Do you like Marlin better of Derik?
